O HAI ART CLUB!!

OK, so I have to explain.

Art Club is this comicy manga type thing that I first wrote/drew in 2004-05. The original was fourteen chapters of wildly varying length and quality. As far as I know, only about four people have read it. Even before I had finished the first incarnation of it, I had begun rewriting the beginning. Six years later, I'm still at it.

I think the thing I was most disappointed with in the original is the pacing of the main story. I don't know why I was in a rush to finish it, but I was. I do distincly remember sitting down one day and wanting to write the big, sappy ending. So I did. And then I regretted it because I realized I wasn't ready to be finished. What I'm working on now is mostly adding "filler" stuff in between the existing chapters, but what I want to do eventually is rewrite the whole damned thing so the artwork and formats match. A few things in the "old" Art Club timeline contradict stuff in the new, and there are characters in the new version that didn't appear in the original. So, uh, bear with me. :P

I don't know why it's so important to me that I put this horrible thing up on the Internets for all to see, but it is. Plus, uh, the new stuff is actually surprisingly decent. And I didn't try to shade the artwork with watercolors and make the ink run everywhere again. :P

This is the original story with new stuff squeezed in between the original chapters. New stuff is bolded. I am not posting the Alex stories because I hate them, so don't even ask. :P
